With daily testing required for the 100% R-1 reuse facility, fecal indicator bacteria measured in effluent from the Lāʻie wastewater reclamation facility is consistently extremely low, with readings typically at or near 0 most probable number of colony forming units of coliform per gallon of effluent, except for a couple of large spikes back in 2018.
